At Star Systems, security and adherence to law are our first priority.  In addition to our own internal quality and compliance standards, Star Systems operates under strict compliance with all Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations and other government standards set forth in the employee screening industry.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a federal law that regulates consumer reports and consumer reporting agencies. It was designed to protect individuals by emphasizing the accuracy, fairness and privacy of information in the files of the consumer reporting agency (CRA).

Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act)
The FACT Act was enacted in 2003 as an amendment to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a federal law that regulates consumer reports and consumer reporting agencies. The FACT Act entitles consumers the option to obtain one free copy of his/her consumer file from certain consumer reporting agencies (CRA's) in each 12-month period.

Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)
Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) was established to prohibit employers from discriminating against individuals with disabilities who are able to perform essential job functions.
